What Is My IP

How it works
Your browser has no way to know its own public-facing IP address without asking a server, so this is the one tool on 99digest that makes a request back to our server — a single, minimal, unauthenticated endpoint that reads the IP address your connection is coming from and returns it immediately. Nothing is logged or stored. Your user agent and screen resolution are read directly in your browser, with no request needed.
FAQs
Is my IP address logged or stored anywhere?
No. The endpoint reads your connection’s IP address and returns it in the response — it isn’t written to a database or log file.
Why does this tool need a server at all, when the others don’t?
A public IP address is assigned by your internet connection, not something a browser can compute on its own — it’s the one piece of information here that genuinely requires asking a server.
