How it works

Google truncates titles based on pixel width, not character count — a title full of wide letters (like “M” and “W”) gets cut off sooner than one full of narrow letters (like “i” and “l”). This tool estimates pixel width using a standard average character-width table for a common search-result font, the same approach used by most SERP preview tools — it’s a close approximation, not an exact rendering of what Google will show, since the real font metrics vary slightly by device and browser. The meta description is checked against Google’s commonly cited ~155-character guideline.

FAQs

Is this an exact pixel-for-pixel match of Google’s search results?

No — it’s a close approximation using standard character-width averages, the same technique most SERP preview tools use. Google’s actual rendering can vary slightly by device, browser, and font substitution.

Is my title/description sent anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated entirely in your browser.
